We are a registered community based organization with a mandate to plant and nurture trees within a specific area in Kiambu County known as Thigio Ndiuni. This is a semi arid area which has over the years suffered deforestation as a result of charcoal burning, overgrazing, urbanization and other factors brought by climate change. Overall aim of Ndiuni Thigio forestry initiative The overall aim for the NDIUNI THIGIO FORESTRY INITIATIVE is to address climate change through tree planting in line with the Kenya government target to plant fifteen billion trees in the next fifteen years. Our target is to plant and nurture at least 15 million trees in the Ndiuni Thigio Sub-county of Kiambu County in the next five years
